2026 Goals Week 13 of 53
Lenten Focus Day #40

Lenten Focus : Forty-Three Days of Dead Weight Excavation

43 straight days of 90-minute sessions
Daily discipline dissolves overwhelm!

Tuesday, Day #34:

Had to try on my gi pants today.

Didn’t wanna…

Before the injury, I was wearing A1’s.
I was an athlete.

Two years of pain later… I became a chubby, yet smiley presence on the mats.
No longer an athlete. Still trained… just not as well.

And then…

On Halloween morning, I couldn’t even lift my leg high enough to get into my “fat pants” – A2’s.

Haven’t been on the mats since.

I’m stepping back on the mats in 12 days, and…
I needed to find out where I’m at.

So yes… I had to try on my gi pants.

Gahhh!

They fit… ish.

Snug.
Really snug.

Did I mention snug?

Like… I’ve-got-a-lot-of-work-to-do snug.
Not even close to stepping “confidently” onto the mats… more like, stress-testing-the-stitches snug.

So… I ordered A3’s.

Yikes.

But also… not yikes.

Because here’s the part that matters…….

I’m stepping back on the mats after five months of healing – after training for two years injured.

So what if I got a little fluffy!

The flub will come off as long as I step on the mats.

This will be my fat chapter in my jiu-jitsu journey.

Did I mention I’m stepping back on the mats?!! Whoot, whoot!

Wednesday, Day #35:

Decided to establish a work “uniform.”

Yes, I work for me. But…

I don’t want to wear sweats.
I don’t want to wear jeans.
And I definitely don’t move fast in slippers.

I want pieces that are earmarked as work clothes.
Clothes I put on when it’s time to get things done.

Like … capris, flats, collar shirt.
You saw the outfit and just knew she was getting work done.

That’s the goal.

It removes decision fatigue, adds consistency on streams, and quietly upgrades my daily look to…
“I’m doing things.”

Bought a few pieces off of other Poshmark sellers, will post photos – sometime after Lent.

Thursday, Day #36:

Settled into a rhythm today.

Nothing flashy. Nothing chaotic.
Just steady movement.

A few listings.
A little organizing.
A lot of coffee.

Friday, Day #37:

Just quietly putting pieces into place.

It’s starting to feel less like work… and more like momentum. Nice.

Saturday, Day #38:

Took a step back and looked at the week.

Not perfect. Though, no drama – that’s perfect!

It was consistent ‘n mellow…

Sunday, Day #39:

My day to schedule the week.

Heads-up: Poshmark changed their rules.

As of March 25, 2026, they moved from square (1:1) photos to a portrait format (3:4).

Which is great…
unless you’ve uploaded 100sss of square images.

Oh. Goodness.

No biggie, not a disaster… just a lil’annoying.
But, changes happen… gotta adapt.

Monday, Day #40:

This week was…

Boring, consistent, slightly scrappy… and weirdly unstoppable.

Oooo… I like that!
…might be my new “About Me.” LOL!

Hmmmm, seriously thinking about it.

Okay, heading off to laalaa land…
Wishing you a blessed and meaningful Holy Week.

And remember…
…daily discipline dissolves overwhelm.

Sweet dreams.
