2026 Goals Week 15 of 53
Tuesday, the 7th
Hmmm… my big new schedule needs an edit. Maybe a pivot.
Actually, it might just need to be trashed.
I thought my Lenten Focus would be all that and a bag of chips.
Backlog… gone.
Chaos… gone.
Stress… gone.
Everything organized.
Nope. Almost… and “almost” isn’t done.
So, April isn’t going to be the expansion month I planned.
April is now:
• Taxes
• Merging the units
• Finishing the item listings
Why am I merging the units I just organized?
Because I just found out that on May 1st my rent jumps from $89.04 to $127.20. Each. The decision kind of made itself.
Wednesday, the 8th
BJJ… nope. Apparently, a false start.
Dang …dang.
Double dang.
Thursday, the 9th
The storage unit merge began today. Completely unplanned.
I went in to grab a small sale and felt that familiar dread creeping in. I realized I had to rearrange everything. Make room. Shift it all. Ugh.
Worse yet, I had to move two huge, heavy items. They were buried in the back of one unit and needed to be in the back of the other.
Of course.
I didn’t want to move them by myself.
I didn’t want the scheduling hassle of involving someone else.
I was dreading moving everything out just to reach them, only to have to put it all back.
I knew I would spend days planning, re-planning, and obsessing about the when and how.
Sooo, I took off my jacket… and did it right then. It sucked. But they are moved.
The rest of the merge?
A couple of boxes per day until it’s done.
It’s paid through the end of the month, so now .. it’s an easy move.
Friday, the 10th
Went to the post office… OMGosh! He went postal!
Packed two boxes toward my “condense the storage units” mission.
Saturday, the 11th
Two more boxes at the storage unit.
Decided I’m changing my desk/computer setup tomorrow, too.
Busy week coming up…
Sunday, the 12th
Ran to the unit to grab something, moved a box, and zipped back to change up Base Camp.
Adjusted my desk setup.
Streaming Creative starts Tuesday… come hang out, we’ll chat.
Monday, the 13th
Did taxes.
Deep sigh.
Boring. Unnecessary. Mandatory. Bunk.
Got ’em done. Yuck.
Then ran to the unit to move two boxes… I still have 17 days left, but I always like a cushion. You never know when life is going to throw in a “well-actually” delay.
Did I mention my taxes are done?
Enjoy a maaavelous week,
– Kimberly
And remember…
daily discipline dissolves overwhelm.
