2026 Goals Week 11 of 53
Lenten Focus Day #26
-wish I had the foresight to name this The Lenten Excavation Project, fun

Lenten Focus :
Forty-Three Days of Dead Weight Excavation

43 straight days of 90-minute sessions :
Daily discipline dissolves overwhelm!

Tuesday, Day #20:
Nothing dramatic today… just steady work.

On a non-Lenten note, my return to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is scheduled. After five months of being off the mats recovering from injury, I’ll finally be stepping back onto them!

Boy ‘o boy am I out of shape .. gahhh!

Wednesday, Day #21:
Mellow day .. the morning started with sunshine and a squirrel enthusiastically wiggling his butt because I brought him breakfast before heading to the storage unit. He was so cute with his happy dance.

And, with a surprise 70°F day the piggies had outdoor grazing time… they enjoyed a few minutes of grass munchin’…

Friday is piggie nail day, we all hate that necessary task, lol.

Oooo, and I made a batch of pickles and pickled carrots .. tomorrow I will boil up some mustard seeds and pickle those, too.

And! A Facebook Marketplace buyer actually showed up .. a rare and satisfying moment in the reseller ecosystem.

Basically, it was a good day to have a good day.

Thursday, Day #22:
The first day of the second half of this 43 day focus.

And, I feel done. I just don’t wanna do it today. Nope. I will, but I don’t wanna.

Friday, Day #23
Settled into a quiet rhythm.

A little work, a little piggie nail trimming, and…

I weeded out a bunch of e-mails. I’m terrible at deleting them. I see them, but I just don’t delete them – the one e-mail grew to 1,545 messages, now it’s at 14. Yikes. There has to be a reason I refuse to hit the little trash can.

Saturday, Day #24
USPS customer service

I needed to know more than tracking told me. A buyer’s package was just sitting in a NJ location for a week. Called USPS and wound up in auto system hell – “I understand you would like to speak with an agent please try telling me what you are calling about one more time.” – me: agent .. anything other than agent forwarded me to “helpful” self-help voice recordings and offers for text messaged links, but the word agent only got the inquiry, “…please try telling me what you are calling about one more time.”

Tried silence, after 6-minutes it sent me to the main menu.

Tried, “other.”
Tried, “technical support.”
Tried, “it’s something else”

In the end I filed a missing mail claim and the item had a scan update the next day, showing it was delayed. I knew that, but a scan showed me it wasn’t lost so, all is well…….

If you discover a hack to get to a human, please let me know.

Sunday, Day #25
Today I realized something was off.

Glancing through my nightly post-work photos I realized the physical space of the storage unit hadn’t improved much… in about ten days. Whoa, not good. Why?

When I looked at my notes, I seems it stopped changing physically the day I decided to move to the bigger unit.

Dang, I’m guessing my mind just placed the unit into the temporary zone.

Sooo, that mental detour was corrected.

No new unit.
Organize these two.
Revisit the bigger unit in the future, after Lent.

Not pleased with no visible changes.
Lesson learned.

Today . Monday, Day #26:
New schedule.

I’m returning to BJJ, which means early wake-ups, I need to stop going to sleep so late.

Changing my Monday – Friday routine ahead of time to adjust my sleep times accordingly.

The plan, subject to tweaks:

Early morning: movement – for now .. will change to bjj + gym time later

Later morning: Storage unit lent tasks .. after lent will continue with any storage unit tasks and add Live Shopping on Whatnot a few days per week

Afternoons: Eat, pack, ship, list

Late afternoons: Live stream Creative

Evening: Me time. Reading a paperbook —-> sleep.

Repeat.

And, since this post goes out late Monday, you’ll see this Tuesday…

Top o’ the morning to you…
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀✨
